One of our goals when building this website was to do everything we can to prevent our readers from getting scammed online. That’s why we wrote a bunch of reviews of online personals sites that weren’t too friendly. I strongly recommend you read this so you can learn about some of the online personals sites that should be avoided. So what are some common online personals scams?
Dating sites flooded with bogus profiles
Women using you for your money
People promoting other dating sites
Hookers searching for clients
Each of these scams poses a problem for you. And they’re not as easy to spot as you might think. The scammers are very good at what they do. If they weren’t successful at tricking people, they wouldn’t continue doing it. So please be careful when you’re online and don’t get caught up with a woman that seems to good to be true. Con artists are everywhere and you could be the next victim if you aren’t careful. Watch out for these signs…
She’s way too out of your league and seems WAY into you…
I never have a problem getting a woman that is way out of my league. Any guy can get a girl that is better looking than them. However, if you’re a 3 and she’s a 10, unless you’re incredibly wealthy, you don’t have a shot. That’s just the way it is. So if you are chatting with a 10 and you’re a 3 and she’s all over you, it might be time to throw up the red flags.
She asks for favors before having met you in person…
I will do just about anything for a girl that I like once I have met her. But I have come across a few chicks online that expected certain favors before we had met in person. It got me thinking something was suspicious. And I was right. One girl I was chatting with on Xpress.com very much seemed into me. One day, she sent me an IM asking for $200 to help pay her rent. She promised she would pay me back. I didn’t send her the money because I hadn’t even met her.
She’s too into you and not into why you’re good for her
I know how it is – you meet a new girl and she seems so into you because she genuinely likes you. But when a girl you talk to online doesn’t care to know about your background, what you’re looking for in a relationship, and what you have to offer her, you need to throw up the red flags. Chances are she’s a hooker. Hookers use dating sites all the time to lure clueless men into their home. When you arrive, she hits you up with a “fee” for the evening.
